happy birthday little man!

Dear Ezra William,
From the moment I met you I called you 'my little man'. In the hospital you laid there in the bassinet with your muscles flexed and you seemed so tough to me.
Then as I began to take you in and really study you, you appeared even more so - your face held so many 'mature' expressions. As you have grown, the nickname "little man" has stuck and so it was only fitting that we celebrated your 1st birthday with a little man party. It was fun planning it for you and despite a few set backs in scheduling due to illness we had a great turn out and a lot of fun! I LOVE you my little man and I can't wait to see where you take your daddy and I during this life - I'm sure many FUN ADVENTURES await us!...

FUN

FUN

FUN?

NOT SO MUCH FUN FOR MOM, BUT DEFINITELY AN ADVENTURE ;-)

Now onto 'THE PARTY'...

Little signs said things like "real men eat veggies"

Your sister took the mustache thing to a whole new level ;-)

Your uncle Andrew got you a real seahawks jersey (lynch) and since the game was on and daddy was sporting a seahawks shirt we put you in yours :-)

The Eveland 2nd cousins

Everyday you crack us up! - we are just having such a fun time with you!! I still can't believe you are mine... one of the hardest lessons of my life was learning to patiently wait for you, and in the end,
you were definitely worth that wait!

 Happy 1st birthday bubba!!!

We get around!

For our family vacation this summer we decided to be adventurous and take a long road trip. Our goal was to reach Utah, where we would spend a long 4th of July weekend with Mark's sister and her family. We made stops along the way and grew quite accustomed to life on the road. The kids were GREAT & I had no pregnancy symptoms! Mark was the perfect navigator - it was as if he knew all about road safety! ;-)

On the road and heading southwest...

On our first day, we arrived at Cannon Beach. We heard so much about this place that we decided to make a detour in our route just to visit it. It was very relaxing and I would say worth the extra couple of hours in the car. Now we can say that we have been there and done that!

My darling Grace

Walk with me daddy

The kiddos LOVED the miles and miles of sand!

Be brave guys!!

Hanging out by the Sea Stacks

All tuckered out from playing.

On day two we stopped off at the Multnomah falls on our way to Boise.
Turned out to be a nice little surprise! So beautiful!!

Twin Falls Temple in Idaho.

Cleavage shot :-)

Although Ezzy is 6 months younger than Sora, you would never be able to tell. We grow em big! :-)

Fun in the sun on the 4th!

All dolled up in 4th of July gear (thank you grandma marlene for the fun tie!)

On the way home after seeing fireworks - 3 sleeping beauties!

Getting ready to go down some 'serious rapids' - are you ready Bryan?

Someone tell Ezzy we're nowhere near a truck stop! "Does this hat make my head look fat?"

Gracie and her older (by 10 months) cousin Dylan. I told you we grow em big!!

Playing in the free water park at our hotel in Missoula, MT.

A round of putt-putt in Leavenworth, WA

We take our golf very seriously! Actually, it should be noted that Mark and I had placed a bet on our game and I won by 1 stroke! All skill baby! :-)

Back home but still vacationing... A beautiful hike to the Ice Caves on a beautiful day.

Hiking is tough stuff!

A day at Cama Beach...

We stumbled upon a cool fort.

Mark, the caveman. Ezzy was loving it!

The kiddos. Nothing like the love of a big sister!

You have my heart.

Too cool for Cama beach!

We are looking forward to more summer adventures!!!
