Santa pics... then and now

This year, like always, Santa claus made an appearance at our Church Christmas activity. When Gracie first met Santa Claus she was only 11 months old. How did she like him? Well, I think the photo speaks for itself...

Last year things went a little better. No tears, but no smiles either...

This year, she was ready for him! Not only did we see smiles on her face but she even hugged Santa! Looks like Santa has managed to melt into Gracie's heart... I think it has something to do with presents. :)

True love has no beginning

Often times one of us will begin telling a story with "Remember when..." only to be interrupted with "Babe, we weren't together then. " It's embarrrassing when we realize that the other couldn't have been present because logic and simple mathematics (2010 - 1997...) prove it otherwise. Struggling to recollect your life before you met your spouse ... that's love. The truth of the matter is that once someone enters your life whom you love beyond words it becomes almost impossible to visualize your life without them. We know that Gracie has only been alive for 3 years now, but when we try to remember life before her we are almost always met with great difficulty ... what little memory we have of life before Gracie is slipping fast. Our innability to seperate ourselves from one another in memory recollection begs the question "Why?" Are we both losing our minds? That is very improbable. Therefore, we have determined that true love has no beginning...

( Which makes perfect sense considering it has no end. )
