We get around!

For our family vacation this summer we decided to be adventurous and take a long road trip. Our goal was to reach Utah, where we would spend a long 4th of July weekend with Mark's sister and her family. We made stops along the way and grew quite accustomed to life on the road. The kids were GREAT & I had no pregnancy symptoms! Mark was the perfect navigator - it was as if he knew all about road safety! ;-)

On the road and heading southwest...

On our first day, we arrived at Cannon Beach. We heard so much about this place that we decided to make a detour in our route just to visit it. It was very relaxing and I would say worth the extra couple of hours in the car. Now we can say that we have been there and done that!

My darling Grace

Walk with me daddy

The kiddos LOVED the miles and miles of sand!

Be brave guys!!

Hanging out by the Sea Stacks

All tuckered out from playing.

On day two we stopped off at the Multnomah falls on our way to Boise.
Turned out to be a nice little surprise! So beautiful!!

Twin Falls Temple in Idaho.

Cleavage shot :-)

Although Ezzy is 6 months younger than Sora, you would never be able to tell. We grow em big! :-)

The daddys going for a run with their babes.

Fun in the sun on the 4th!

All dolled up in 4th of July gear (thank you grandma marlene for the fun tie!)

Gracie & Ezzy with "the cousins"

Me and my little man :-)

Waiting for the fireworks to begin

On the way home after seeing fireworks - 3 sleeping beauties!

Payson Pool & Water Park (wish we had something like this!* Sun required)

At "The cabin" in Idaho. So glad Bryan Shirley is a part of this family ;-)

Getting ready to go down some 'serious rapids' - are you ready Bryan?

Someone tell Ezzy we're nowhere near a truck stop! "Does this hat make my head look fat?"

Gracie and her older (by 10 months) cousin Dylan. I told you we grow em big!!

Mark bringing Brian in for some lovin - Brian played hard to get ;-)

The preggos. I am 5 months and Tia is 8 months.

Aunt Bean showing Grace how to roast a mallow

Playing in the free water park at our hotel in Missoula, MT.

A round of putt-putt in Leavenworth, WA

We take our golf very seriously! Actually, it should be noted that Mark and I had placed a bet on our game and I won by 1 stroke! All skill baby! :-)

Back home but still vacationing... A beautiful hike to the Ice Caves on a beautiful day.

Hiking is tough stuff!

A day at Cama Beach...

We stumbled upon a cool fort.

Mark, the caveman. Ezzy was loving it!

The kiddos. Nothing like the love of a big sister!

You have my heart.

Too cool for Cama beach!

We are looking forward to more summer adventures!!!

spring shananigans

Where does time go? I remember being a kid and thinking, "I can't wait to grow up!" and now, as an adult I can't understand why it felt like time stood still when it seems to fly by for my kiddos?!
Grace is already a graduated Kindergartner and Ezra just turned 10 months old!! Here's what we've been up to the last two months...

SWINGING MONKEYS :-)

HELLO SUMMER BREAK!
(the sun was out the first day of summer break and we didn't hesitate to make the most of the hill in our yard!)

KAYAK POINT

BOWMAN BAY

OUR NEIGHBORHOOD KICKS THE SUMMER OFF WITH A BLOCK PARTY. (Gracie loved the watermelon roll and Ezra liked watching :-)
OUR BASEBALL STAR...(Inside joke for sure!)

Gracie HATED T-ball. She felt pressure when  playing the field and she couldn't stand the uniform - she said, "Mom, this outfit is SOOO ugly! Why can't I wear a skirt?" Such a girlie girl! Despite her discontent for the sport she was really good and I think I might sew her a special baseball skirt and convince her to try it out one more time next year? We'll see... she really just wants to dance.

random pics

Gracie felt inspired to dress Ezra like "you know, that guy from the bible" :)
Just a burp cloth and a headband. Ezra looks very skeptical of his new digs ;)

Thanks to Grandma "GG" we are now "twinsies"!

Gracie with her friend Charlotte. Gracie totally reminded me of a 'doodle-bop'

It's official: Big Z can sit up on his own! Woo hoo!
